Abstract
Concentrates on the following specific objectives: the determination and documentation of the impact of uncertainty on GIS applications; and an investigation of the ability for the current version of DIGEST to accommodate these issues; the determination and documentation of the impact of uncertainty in digital geographical information is provided through the results of a comprehensive literature review and input from a User Needs Analysis. The User Needs Survey solicited information from over 160 data suppliers, GIS vendors and data users. Input was also sought from experienced DIGEST users.
