Abstract
The paper describes the mathematics behind the Life Cycle Costing (LCC) module of LOGAN (LOGistics ANalyzer). The basic equations used to determine the life cycle cost are explained in the main text while a detailed description of how the cost of each LCC activity is determined for fixed and recurring costs, is provided in the annexes. The Stochastic and Fuzzy Arithmetic approaches to the risk assessment of the life cycle cost of equipment are discussed. Both can be used in any given analysis.
