Abstract
The Electronic Warfare (EW) Battlefield Simulator was developed at the Defence Research Establishment Ottawa to investigate the possibility of simulating the electronic signals environment of the modern battlefield. The simulator includes graphical map-based tools for building a battlefield scenario, running a simulation, and reviewing and scoring a log of the simulation. The EW Battlefield Simulator is designed to test the capabilities of the Electronic Warfare Operations Centre (EWOC). To this end, it produces the electronic signals of the enemy forces, and models some friendly assets, namely DF sensors, jammers, and the Electronic Warfare Coordination Centre (EWCC). This document describes the user interface to the EW Battlefield Simulator.
