Abstract
A two-dimensional (2-D) acosuto-optic (AO) processor was studied, designed and then experimentally investigated. The processor has potential of identifying carrier frequency and pulse repetition frequency of radar signals with processing time that is independent of pulse density in signal environment. The application of the processor to intercept LPI radar signals was discussed with emphasis on identification of very strong narrow-band interfering signals and their excision from the received spectrum.
