Abstract
The report summarizes the analytical approach developed to estimate the total ionizing radiation dose received by Earth-orbiting satellites. The analytical tools and methodology utilized in this work represent a departure from the more traditional, "industry standard" approaches. This has resulted in an improvement in the accuracy of the total dose estimation. The analytical approach developed was applied to the problem of determining the mission total dose for the Swedish satellite ODIN.
