Abstract
Rectangular plates with prismatic stiffeners parallel to one pair on edges were loaded statically while displacements and strains were measured at various locations. These results were compared with theoretical predictions obtained from an analytical method previously developed to predict the dynamic response of stiffened plate panels under transient loads. It was found that predicted strains were generally within about 20 percent of measured values, though for the larger strains somewhat better accuracy was achieved.
