Abstract
The oxygen electrode based on sintered nickel plaque impregnated with manganese dioxide has been developed and tested. The nickel-manganese dioxide cathode appears to be well suited for use in a mechanically rechargeable zinc/air battery. As the costs of materials are low, this electrode might also be used in a "throw-away" battery.
