SIMULATION OF A SIMPLE MODEL FOR A PARALLEL PLATE PULSED TEA LASER

Abstract
A preliminary model for the resistance between parallel plate gas discharge electrodes and a model for the capacitor spark discharge circuit of a pulsed TEA laser have been simulated on an EAI 8845 hybrid computer. Simulation results for the voltage, current and reciprocal resistance waveforms across the discharge electrodes have been obtained as a function of model parameters, and are compared with experimental results for a laser using pin discharge electrodes.
