Abstract
A novel discharge circuit designed for the pulsed excitation of a double-discharge mesh-cathode TEA amplifier system is described. The circuit which features a slow rate of electrical energy deposition in the amplifying discharge with pump pulses typically in the 2-6 s range has resulted in a significant improvement in the stability and uniformity of the discharge. Cet ouvrage dcrit un nouveau circuit d'excitation destin  l'alimentation lectrique d'une double dcharge  grille TEA. Ce circuit, dont la caractristique principale est d'injecter lentement l'nergie lectrique dans la dcharge pendant des priodes variant de 2  6 s, permet une amlioration sensible de la stabilit et de l'unformit de la dcharge.
