Abstract
Adhesion at the solid-polymer interface of composite explosives was studied by mechanical spectroscopy. The effect of various additives, namely azolectine and a nitrogen-containing polyester, were examined in relation to a reference composite explosive containing exclusively a binder and RDX. However, the shift factors indicated the nitrogen-containing polyester increased the wetting of the solid by the binder, leading to a composite as homogeneous as a polymer.
