Abstract
The three countries of the triangle may be described as those which have been most successful in enhancing their relative power position during the post World War II era. The multitude of complex, and often apparently insoluble problems and differences which affect their relationships invite alarmist projections. But the shoals of dispute are not such as inherently rule out navigation. In at least some areas ostensibly opposed interests could be seen as, or made to be, complementary rather than conflicting.
