Abstract
The high medical non-effectiveness rate in the Marine Engineering Technician Trade was analyzed. The extent and nature of the medical complaints were established and related to the career conditions and working environment of the man. Once the incidence, prevalence and rate of diseases were established, the main causative factors were identified and recommendations made for their alleviation.
