Abstract
Reviews some of the applications already made, in Canadian defence activities, of advances in information science and technology made in the last decade. It deals in some detail with the research and development work in that field conducted by, or sponsored by the Defence Research Board and applied to the operations of the Defence Scientific Information Service. It also reviews potential applications of the products of such work, both to the further improvement of information services and to the support of other defence activities not themselves of a primarily information nature.
