Abstract
The document has two main components: a building block type of foundation and a typical Air Command and Control system, built upon the foundation. The application developed with the foundation is based on the existing BMIS (Battle Management Information System) application. The purpose of this document is to provide an installation guide for system administrators, as well as a general User's Guide for application and users. Chapters 1 and 2 are destined to system administrators; chapter 3 is the actual user guide, and chapter 4 presents the system data model. Chapter 1 describes the hardware and software requirements, as well as a step-by-step guide to installing and configuring the application software, in terms of automated and manual tasks required. Chapter 2 explains how to setup user roles, accounts and how to define access security. Chapter 3 describes the user interface, screen navigation and the six main application topics. Finally, chapter 4 presents the conceptual data model of the application database, in terms of the manipulated entities.
