Abstract
The paper describes the SDI system currently in use in the Department of National Defence. This computerized system permits qualified users access to defence-related scientific and technical information in the form of regular issues of document announcements in specific fields of interest. It is a rapid and efficient method of maintaining currency in complex fields for users in the defence community and has been found to be highly popular.
