Abstract
The report incorporates three papers presented at the conference on Bottom-Interacting Ocean Acoustics held June 9-12, 1980, at the NATO SACLANT ASW Research Centre, La Spezia, Italy. The papers describe the DREA effort in modelling shallow water propagation loss on the Scotian Shelf, and a signal processing technique developed under contract by Huntec ('70) Ltd., to remotely estimate the volume of attenuation of the uppermost layer of the seabed from seismic profiler data.
