Abstract
A hydrofoil design and analysis program, AADP4, is presented. The program may be used for two-dimensional design or analysis of single or multi-element foils executing steady motion in an infinite medium. Viscous attached flow may be modelled in both design and analysis modes although no confluent boundary layer calculation is present. The code arose from programs developed for the previous contract and uses the same basic methods demonstrated by them. The report describes the present code with particular emphasis on those features which have been added to the original programs. Some of these are: a viscous inverse procedure, increased design flexibility, a flap calculation, improved geometry updating techniques and a plotting capability.
