Abstract
Assessing the strength capabilities of recruits is a necessary step in the development of occupational physical standards for all trades in the Canadian Forces. The study reports preliminary data on static strength tests and equipment designed to measure the strength capabilities of CF personnel. The equipment and testing procedures were adapted from the existing literature and appeared to offer valid strength data that were reliable.
