Abstract
The Life Cycle Cost Impact Modeling (LCCIM) System was developed by the USAF Human Resources Laboratory as a general purpose model which emphasized manpower and training aspects of modern weapon systems. The approach presented in the LCCIM documentation looks promising because it involves the analysis of historical data and presents procedures for collecting, organizing and analyzing the data. The possible implementation of this type of system in DND is examined with a review of DND data sources. The R1051B Radio Receiver is used as an example of how DND data sources could be used to develop estimates of cost factors in the LCCIM framework.
