Abstract
A computer code for generating and plotting theoretical CARS (Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Spectroscopy) spectra is described. The code, which was obtained from the United Technologies Research Centre, was modified for use on a Sigma-9 computer. The theory and computational procedure involved in generating CARS spectra is discussed and the input parameters and variables used in the code are described. Theoretical nitrogen spectra, which are presented for a range of experimental conditions are discussed.
