Abstract
Three prototype ground burst chemical simulator systems, manufactured by Hand Chemical Industries, were examined in response to an NDHQ tasking. The powder-filled SC300A, which has an aluminum case, survived an extensive series of environmental exposures with only one operational failure. The liquid-filled SC440, while providing a large cloud, and simplicity and convenience in handling, lacks ruggedness in its present experimental form.
