Abstract
The use of an end-delaminated three-point bend specimen to measure the Mode II interlaminar fracture energy of graphite/epoxy laminates is described. A comparison is made between the measured specimen compliance and a beam theory solution. Fracture energy values are reported as a function of specimen geometry, lay-up, fibre type and temperature.
