Abstract
The report describes the development of a mobile shield, which is a small, man-carrying vehicle designed to aid in the disposal of explosive ordance or improvised explosive devices by providing a method of safely lifting and transporting them. The shield is an electrically powered tracked vehicle, armoured to protect the operator against fragmentation and blast bombs, equipped with a powered lift boom for grabbing and carrying 20-lb packages.
