Abstract
The probable errors in the "line-of-sight" bearing data from two observers are analysed in order to determine the size of a circular confidence region about the cross-fix point of their bearings. The calculations are performed by either of two methods, depending on how the bearing errors are modelled. The results of these calculations are displayed as contour plots which show how the observer/object geometry affects these localization errors.
