Abstract
The report contains a description of the MK-60 tank gunnery, describing its pedagogical and technical aspects. The MK-60 is an interactive, part-task trainer originally designed to teach gunners for the US Army M60A-1 battle tank. One of the MK-60's unique features is a videodisc-based visual system. In the report, the suitability of the MK-60 for Leopard C1 tank gunnery is discussed. The assessment shows that the MK-60 has many characteristics which make it a desirable part-task trainer. First among them is high face validity at low cost. It is concluded that the MK-60 has considerable potential as a cost-effective training device for the Leopard.
