Abstract
The study was established to study the prevalence of infectious Hepatitis (Hepatitis A) antibody (anti-HAV) in several groups of CF personnel in order to assist the Surgeon General in assessing the hazard of the disease and to indicate the effectiveness of conventional immune globulin administration for prevention of infection among personnel posted in areas of high risk. In addition, it is expected that a vaccine for Hepatitis A will become available in the near future. The Surgeon General also requires guidance regarding the requirement for universal or selective immunization of personnel with this vaccine.
