Abstract
The report describes the production of unconsolidated-sediment thickness (isopach maps) for the Scotian Shelf and Grand Banks from seismic reflection data, and the production of a seabed roughness map for the Flemish Cap. Existing seismic reflection data and reports for the area along the eastern Canadian seaboard north of the Grand Banks are reviewed first, to show the feasibility of extending the sediment-thickness map coverage in future work. The work is part of the marine-sediment-acoustics research element of the shallow water acoustics program at DREA.
