Abstract
The main objective of the work is to explore the effects of different hydrocarbon types upon combustion in gas turbine combustor. Pratt and Whitney Canada are currently investigating the effects of alternative fuels within the PT6A-65 engine and this series of reports deals with predicting the effects of such fuels upon the combustion performance. The report describes attempts to predict combustion efficiency, and carbon monoxide and unburnt hydrocarbon levels at the combustor exhaust.
