Abstract
The Dynamic Model is a personnel planning and management tool associated with the Other Ranks Career Development Plan (ORCDP) which provides forecast information for up to 20 years based on the existing population of a trade. With the capability to vary the manning levels, release rates and promotion rules year to year, the Dynamic Model can determine resulting manpower flows and distributions in order to measure the impact of proposed changes to manpower policies on an existing population. Although in use for more than 5 years, this model has not been documented. This report provides a detailed description of the current (sixth) version of the ORCDP Dynamic Model methodology called DYNAM6.
