Abstract
Computer programs generating graphic displays of ship hulls and the potential flow around them are presented. The programs have been designed so that the hydrodynamicist can obtain pertinent information about the ship hull and the potential flow around it, quickly and easily. The program DSPHLL will display the hull as seen from any line of sight, and buttock lines, water lines, and streamlines may be displayed if desired. The program OFFSET draws an offset diagram of the hull. The program STMHLC draws streamlines in a non-cartesian hull coordinate system used to describe the hull, and displays the magnitude of the potential flow velocity by means of shaded contours. The programs assume a hull representation and potential flow velocity vectors in terms of B-splines as provided by the previously documented program SMHULL and VELSPL.
