Abstract
The General Service Officers' Dynamic Manpower Model (DYNAMO) uses a set of attrition tables defined by MOC, engagement plan, rank and age to calculate attrition throughout its 20 year forecast period. This subdivision leaves extremely small data bases for some groups and precludes the calculation of statistically valid attrition rates. To enhance the accuracy of the attrition tables it is suggested that related MOCs such as the engineering classifications, combat arms classifications, etc. be combined to increase the size of the data base. This report shows that the attrition profiles of some composite groups apply, within reasonable bounds, to the constituent MOCs and provide more accurate data. The Fortran program update has been revised to provide grouped data and streamlined for easier execution. It has also been retitled DY.ATTRIT85.
