Abstract
HLLFLO is a suite of computer programs which, given an offset diagram or a table of offsets for a ship hull, calculates the flow around it at zero Froude number. HLLFLO uses a two-dimensional B-spline representation for the hull. The potential flow around the hull is calculated using a first order panel method which allows the inclusion of propeller induction via a simple actuator disk and also allows corrections for the presence of the boundary layer. The flow in the boundary layer is calculated by a integral method based on the momentum integral equations and an entrainment equation. HLLFLO includes an extensive graphics package for displaying both the hull and the flow around it. The document is a user's guide for all the HLLFLO programs.
