Abstract
Work continues on the EHF 44 GHz general purpose nulling test bed. Nulling was performed for a fixed jammer located in the main beam. The jamming used was a single tone placed anywhere in the 500 MHz band of the frequency hopped spread spectrum signal. The performance over a 500 MHz range was measured as a function of frequency for a variety of offsets of the dual-horn receive array from the principal axis. Even with the non-ideal component characteristics in the nulling circuits, reasonable nulling was achieved and it is anticipated that improvements of the components would lead to even better broad-band operation. Initial study was made of a new nulling algorithm that helps prevent accidental nulling of the desired signal.
