Abstract
Results of tests on the Litton (Canada) Canadian Strapdown Gyroscope (CSG-2), two-degree-of-freedom, tuned rotor gyro are presented. Tests include instrument integrity tests (Time Constant, Tuned Frequency, Figure-of-Merit, pickoff offset angles, etc.), static tests (instrument drift coefficients, pickoff and torquer scale factors, drift stability and temperature sensitivity) and constant rate tests to evaluate Scale Factor linearity, stability and temperature effects. Unique instrument design characteristics are also discussed.
