- Abstract
- The Air Transport Group Headquarters G3 Plans and AIRCOM Headquarters G3 Airlift Task are responsible for the preparation of a Quarterly Airlift Plan and to accommodate Non-Forecasted Airlifts for CC130, CC150 and CC137 aircraft in support of training, peacetime airlift operations or the execution of contingency plans. Current manual methods used in the Canadian Forces do not support the cooperative decision making process need for this activity nor do they capture the desired statistics required by headquarters at various levels. A project was initiated at Defence Research Established Valcartier (DREV) to explore the concept of using a decision aid combining a graphical user interface, database management and operations research. This report covers the progress made regarding the development of Air Command Airlift Scheduler (ACAS) prototype in the form of a users guide. The comments on the success of the prototype and possible follow-on work are presented in executive summary.
