Abstract
The report presents the results of a feasibility study for developing an optical fibre front-end for a multi-channel laser measurement system, applicable to non-contact response measurements during modal testing of Large Space Structures of the SBR spacecraft. The core of the system is an already implemented platform which multiplexes the laser beam from a single-channel laser vibrometer. The performance of the platform is also assessed for its utlization with fibre front-end optics and some modifications to the platform are recommended.
