Abstract
The research note documents a briefing that was given at the Air Command Council (ACC) meeting on 28 January 1997 at Air Command Headquarters in Winnipeg. The briefing outlined the concept for the development of the "Operational Equipment Risk Assessment Model" or OERAM which would use risk analysis to assess the risk of materiel shortages based on the activation of air force would therefore work in parallel with its predecessor OPRAM to globally assess the risk of air force materiel and personnel shortages in the short or long term. At the ACC meeting, further development of the OERAM model was approved by the Commander, Air Command. Sponsorship of the project will be assumed by the Director General Aerospace Equipment Program Management (DGAEPM).
