Abstract
The research note provides sponsors and analysts with an overview of the Generic Officer Model currently in use by the Personnel Operational Research Team (PORT). This particular model, which was developed using the Generic Modelling (GeM) utility, is now operational in a Windows 95 environment. New features of the Generic Officer Model include the ability to model an Officer Forces Reduction Plan (FRP); an improved model of the Engagement Conversion Process; and the assessment of Run Accuracy. The Generic Officer Model continues to evolve in response to changing personnel policy plans and various other sponsor requirements.
