Abstract
At the request of the Senior Committee on Family Violence and Violence Against Women, the Directorate of Social and Economic Analysis conducted a study on family violence and violence against women in the CF. The findings of the study are contained in two reports. The first explored causes and statistical incidence of violence in the CF through a review of published literature and of existing studies and sources of quantitative data (ORD Report 9602, "Military Family Violence and Violence Against Women: Causes and Incidence", November 1996). In this, the second report, qualitative evidence gathered through interviews with personnel from NDHQ and a selection of Bases who have key roles in identifying and dealing with violence among CF personnel and their families is presented.
