Abstract
Performance measures for the materiel traffic within the Canadian Forces were determined and evaluated. Three areas were addressed: the effectiveness of the distribution of Canadian Forces' materiel, the performance of commercial carriers, and that of the Central Materiel Traffic Terminals (CMTTs). The report shows that the percentages of consignments meeting their Required Delivery Date to be low for high priority consignments however the accuracy of several dates recorded is questioned. Commercial carriers were evaluated according to their cost per weight and distance and their timeliness. Finally the efficiencies of the CMTTs were compared to one another.
