Abstract
In March 1997, J4 Log tasked LOGORT to conduct an evaluation of two software systems being considered as potential logistics planning tools for the Canadian Forces. This paper presents a multi-criteria methodology for evaluating logistics planning software. It proposes a list of criteria to be considered through a two-stage process involving first a technical evaluation and secondly a user evaluation. During each step, a subset of criteria are evaluated using the judgements of evaluators, in order to produce satisfaction ratings. This report presents results of the technical evaluation and makes recommendations concerning a user evaluation.
