Abstract
The problem of scaling general stores for deployed Canadian Contingents was investigated. Weaknesses in the current system were identified. A baseline general stores scale was created based upon consumption data from the deployment to Former Yugoslavia. A prototype software application for review and customisation of the baseline scale was developed. An improved scaling process was proposed which shortens the scaling process and enables general stores to be sustained in theatre more easily. Recommendations for future work in this field were provided.
