Abstract
AgemCAD is an AutoCAD based interface for the A'GEM package of road vehicle dynamics software programs. Using AgemCAD, complex models of vehicle suspensions can be designed and evaluated using AutoCAD as a modelling tool. The entire package runs inside AutoCAD and provides many beneficial features to the analyst. Road vehicle models can be constructed graphically and vehicle motions can be analyzed using animation. Also, modelling errors can be quickly detected since they are presented graphically. This manual is both a reference and a tutorial for screen menus and commands used in AgemCAD. The reference section of the manual is divided into chapters describing each menu. They begin with brief explanations of the menu's purpose and structure followed by a detailed description of each menu command. Near the end of the manual is a tutorial problem designed to teach the user how AgemCAD models dynamic systems. The tutorial leads the user through the construction of a simple two mass dynamic system. Techniques used in this tutorial should provide the user with enough knowledge to construct complex vehicle suspension models. The software is also accompanied by a full vehicle model which is contained in the drawing file BAJA.DWG. Users are encouraged to examine this model with the AgemCAD program and run it through the simulation programs. TRUNCATED
