Abstract
This manual covers the basic operation, maintenance and specificatons of the actively controlled hydraulic suspension for the Active Iltis as developed at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. The Active Iltis was developed with the intent of providing a flexible suspension research vehicle which could simulate various suspension control algorithms (including conventional suspensions) in the hopes of realizing improvements in ride and handling over the conventional Iltis. Preliminary test results show this to be the case as both significant improvements in ride and handling were observed.
