Abstract
This research note examines major armed conflicts that have taken palce from 1988 to 1997. Quantitative data has been recorded in a spreadsheet, which should be of use in determining the nature and scope of warfare since the end of the Cold War. Though it is by no means exhaustive, the information provided is based on previous research and is a useful tool for studying chaning conflict patterns. The analysis uses tables and figures to explore strategic trends associated with major armed conflicts. It has been geared towards identifying conflict patterns and discerning future conflict developments.
