Abstract
This report simmarizes the work performed under the contract entitled "Computational Study of Supersonic Combustion Phenomena, Phase I" sponsored by DRES with Dr. Denis Bergeron as Scientific Authority. The main objective of this contract was to provide computational tools for the modelling of supersonic combustion phenomena related to detonation driven projectiles. Work performed under this contract included: - Calculations for a novel detonation-driven project; - Implementation of complex 2-D and 3-D slanted boundary algorithms in IFSAS; - Implementation of combustion models in IFSAS; - Development of a prototype code for gas dynamic and combustion calculations. This report summarizes the software development performed under this contract along with subsequent developments made possible from contracts from CDL funding and other sources.
