Abstract
This report describes the preliminary Human Factors analysis performed as a early step in the development of a Human Factors Based tent group system. The aim was to develop Human Factors criteria and critically evaluate current standard operating procedures with the ten-person tent system. This was accomplished in four steps: Literature and information review; task flow charts; field observation; and subjective data collection (questionnaire) and focus groups. The current system was found to be adequate for its intended use.
