Abstract
This report looks at the endurance requirement for maritime helicopters. The performance of one, two, two and a half, and three hour helicopters in two patrol scenarios are compared. The results demonstrate a significant difference between the one and two hour helicopters. The difference between two, two and a half, and three hour helicopters is smaller. Due to time constraints, it was not possible to model any scenarios other than simple patrol routines. Thus, the results obtained provide an indication of helicopter performance in simple scenarios, but further modelling is required to incorporate more advanced scenarios.
