Abstract
The DREO Advanced Land EW Analysis Testbed (ALEWAT) research project focuses on the development and application of Automated Intelligence (AI) technologies, including expert systems, to solve the problems of land force Electronic Warfare (EW) sensor data fusion, analysis, and intelligence production. This includes developing technologies capable of automatically producing battlefield situation assessments using land EW sensor data. In order to properly model the characteristics of the sensor data, the system must use accurate and reliable radio propagation algorithms. The work discussed in this report had the objective of identifying, and performing proof-of-concept implementations of, the propagation algorithms to be used in the development of the ALEWAT testbed.
