Abstract
DSSP20 is a semiempirically-based suite of software modules for evaluating the dynamics and manoeuvering of streamlined underwater vehicles including submarines, smaller unmanned submersibles, and towfish. This memorandum is a user guide for the simulation modules which are used to estimate the forces and moments on a vehicle in a captive experiment (DSSP20B) and perform time domain simulations for a free-swimming vehicle (DSSP20C). It contains detailed descriptions of input preparation, brief discussions of output, and information for interpreting error messages.
